Making Sense of the Challenge of an Ageing Population
Andrew Dilnot
Andrew presents some of the conclusions of the Dilnot Report, and reflects on wider Christian concerns. We should celebrate the fact that we face the challenge, but recognise that our current structures for funding care are problematic. We could move to policies that better reflected God's love for all and our calling to work and look after the world. The biggest challenge is to capture an appropriate sense of the value of older people, recognising what they do as work that is valued by all.
