Time Out for Parents – The Primary Years
Parenting is a tough job! Come and have some time out ...
This six-week course for parents of children age 5-11 is produced by the national charity Care for the Family. We’ve run it in four Oxford primary schools over the past two years, as well as at Cutteslowe Community Centre and here at church. We’re running it at St Andrew’s on Thursday evenings over six weeks in May and June. Parents from all schools are welcome, whether parenting alone, as a couple or in a step family.
Parenting can be a rollercoaster ride of joy and fun, anxiety and heartache. Time Out for Parents is an opportunity to learn, reflect and support one another along the journey. It will be led by Vicky Lavy, Care for the Family facilitator and local mum with three grown up boys. It’s a mixture of presentation, DVD material and group discussion and is both informative and great fun. You can see more information and a short video about the course on the Care for the Family website.
