Discipleship at St. Andrews
One of the main tasks of the church is making disciples. A 'disciple' is anyone who follows Jesus--so it's not a word which only refers to the superspiritual! It's for everyone.
But a disciple lives with this challenge: a true disciple will (overtime) grow to reflect the character and love of the Lord. How is this possible? The basics are simple: get involved in the church, read the bible, and pray. The hard part is doing this consistently. So, St Andrews offers a range of activities, events, and courses to help Christians grow as disciples. You can see links to some of our offerings on the left hand side of this page.
The active growth of a disciple is called 'discipleship' and it results in maturity. So, at St Andrews we work "to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up, until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ" (Ephesians 4:12-13).

 | | Daily Action Points for Disciples | | God wants us to have a relationship with Him. I can sit in a garage all day, but it does not make me a car. You can sit in a church all day and it does not make you a Christian. Jesus died so we can have a deep and heartfelt relationship with God.
