Children and Young People at St Andrew's
Children and young people are given a very warm welcome at St Andrew's. There are a large number of activities and groups that cater for this age group, including Sunday morning groups for those up to school year 9, Sunday evening groups for those in school years 7 to 13, and weekday groups for those in school years 4 to 13.
Every summer we run a week-long Holiday Club in the August Bank Holiday week which is a time of great fun and mayhem when the church plays host to around 200 children and an army of volunteer leaders and helpers.
The youth department encourage those of secondary school age to drop in to the youth office (located in Southside) after school on a number of days and there is also an opportunity for one-to-one mentoring. Over the years we have also taken our youth on various residential trips, including Mission Trips to India and Africa, camping at Soul Survivor, and weekends away, which has recently included trips to the coast complete with surfing!
